System Requirements & Installation
Here you will find the system requirements and a step-by-step guide for Windows and macOS. Installation and updates are conveniently handled through the Microsoft Store or the Apple App Store.

Note: If you create very large puzzles or many exports in succession, you will benefit from more RAM and free storage space.
Installation
Windows (Microsoft Store)
Recommended- Open the Microsoft Store or use the button above.
- Search for Puzzle-Generator.
- Click Install.
- Once complete, you will find the app in the Start menu.
Check whether you are signed in with a Microsoft account and whether Windows updates are pending. In corporate environments, the Store may be restricted (IT policies).
Restart the app and check your internet connection. If a proxy/VPN is active, try briefly without it. If problems persist, restarting your PC often helps.
macOS (Apple App Store)
Easy- Open the App Store or use the button above.
- Search for Puzzle-Generator.
- Click Get or Install.
- Once complete, you will find the app in Launchpad/Applications folder.
Depending on the feature, macOS may request access to files/folders (e.g. for saving exports). You can adjust permissions at any time under System Settings → Privacy & Security.
Open Launchpad or the Applications folder. Alternatively, use Spotlight (⌘ + Space) and type “Puzzle-Generator”.
Updates
Updates are distributed through the respective Store. You do not need to manually download installation files.
- Windows: Microsoft Store → Library → Get updates
- macOS: App Store → Updates
- Optional: Enable automatic updates in the Store settings
License & Purchases
Billing and delivery are handled through the Microsoft Store or Apple App Store. If Digistore24 is used later, this section can be updated accordingly.
FAQ
Usually not: Store apps can typically be run without manual installers. However, policies may apply in managed corporate environments.
Core features typically work offline as well. An internet connection is required for Store updates, license verification where applicable, or optional online features.
You choose the save location during export (e.g. PDF/PNG). On macOS, you may need to grant folder access once.
Check your internet connection, free storage space, and whether you are signed in to the Store. If that does not help, restart the device and try again. In corporate networks, proxy/VPN/firewall settings may affect the Store.
